"Saucy"
is a weekend sportfishing boat captained by Scott Pollock and Gary Schroeder, out of Newburyport. They spend the winter months making Cod Bombs and Saucy Jigs for their use and offer them for sale to other boat captains at a discount.
Cod Bombs
were invented by these guys to imitate sand eels for bottom fishing cod, haddock and wolf fish. They have a single, tubed hook that is attached by a swivel to various weight leads and powder coated in fluorescent colors to attract fish as they are worked along the rocky ledges, riding over and around snags that would result in hang-ups for most jigs. They are easy to fish, just a short lift from the bottom, and immediate return to contact the rocks, gravel or sand on the bottom, then repeat immediately with adjustment in the line depth to just stay in contact with the bottom.
Saucy Lures
are Norwegian style baits with either single or treble hooks, chromed or painted to provide lots of attraction to big cod. 18 and 24 oz sizes are available, and they have a distinctive "eye" on the hook end to give the fish a target during it strike, getting more hookups than conventional jigs.

This course will train an individual to respond quickly in an emergency for adults, children and infants. The participant will learn CPR and Automated External Defibrillation for Adult/Child plus infant CPR and First Aid. The course it taught in three sessions, attendance at all three is required. Participants are required to pass written and skills testing to receive certification. Course is 12.0 hours.
